“What is worship?” 4

Philippians‬ ‭3‬:‭3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬:
For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh,

Worship God in the Spirit.
We are looking for that kind of worship.
We opened the Bible and it has been shown to us, and we continue to seek it.
The Jews could not enter the back part of the tabernacle, but
we as Christians, by believing in Jesus, we become able to worship and were given such privileges.
We do not only rejoice in being saved, but we were also allowed to worship.
We would like to know how wonderful this is, and at the same time as those who participate in that worship, we would like to know what God is seeking and how He could be satisfied.
And that means taking pride in Christ and not relying on human things.
We can worship because we believe in Jesus and keep relying on Him.
Few of us can face each Sunday without sin, but we can still worship.
I would like to remember that it is because of Jesus.

Now, I would like to turn our attention to what kind of cases there were in the New Testament.

Acts‬ ‭13‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬:
Now in the church that was at Antioch there were certain prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”

While they were worshiping, the Holy Spirit told them to separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work as apostles.
We worship weekly.
During the service, the chairman stands, and then the messenger stands and worships, but it doesn’t happen much among us that “This is what the Holy Spirit is about to say.”
We would like to get closer to worship in spirit and truth, and worship performed by the Holy Spirit.
To do this, we need to know the gifts of the Holy Spirit and what we need to prepare in order for the gifts of the Holy Spirit to work.
I would like for us to worship in a way that those who seem to be prepared, those who are learning, and those who think they will be able to do it in the future follow what the Holy Spirit tells them to do.

As they ministered to the Lord and fasted. (Acts 13:1-2)
How did they know at service that the Holy Spirit would separate Barnabas and Saul for the work?
There were certain prophets and teachers.
In other words, the prophet prophesied by the Holy Spirit during worship.
You can’t do that unless you know the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Those who receive such guidance are special, and I believe that those who are able to do so need training and practice in speaking when receiving guidance from the Holy Spirit during worship, so I have divided todays service into two parts.

出来物が突然、数個できたのですが、聖会で消えて癒されましたというと証です。

フィリピンの方の証です。

私の名前はベスです。フィリピン出身です。
私はこの教会(ERM京都聖会)に時々参加しています。

私は先週日曜日、私が以前通っていた教会の礼拝に参加しました。
ある女性の方の隣に座ったのですが、(周りの人が言うに)その方は悪霊に取り憑かれているようでした。
私はただその方の腰に触っただけだったのですが、その後家に帰ると、(私の頭に)3つのできものと、(首回りに)3つの腫れ物が出来ていました。
それはとても痛くて、月曜から、火曜、水曜、木曜、とずっと痛みがありました。

ですが、今日友人からこの聖会のことを聞いて、参加しに来たのです。

私がこの部屋に入った途端、できものや腫れ物の全部が消えてしまいました!!!!
主を褒め称えます。

だから私はこうやって首回りを触っているのです!!!
本当に、主よ感謝します。誉めたたえます!

Message: Truth and Reality

What is the “truth”?
When we proclaim, “I am blessed”, then that will come to pass. Every morning, a sister in Okinawa was proclaiming, “I am blessed! I am loved by God just as God loved Jesus.” She, a single mother, and her daughter were both unemployed, but money came in and a call came from her former place of employment asking her to return to work. In the past, this sister used to say, “I am sinful and unclean”, but today she has become someone who proclaims, “I am blessed”.
“I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him (mark 11:23). It says here that we must believe in heart and say it. What we say from our mouths, however, is not only about what we believe, what we doubt also comes out of our mouths.

Let’s take a look at Job who was respectful of God. “This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil” (Job 1:1). Job was such a wonderful person as this. Verse 3 says, “He was the greatest man among all the people of the East”. But he had a certain worry. In verse 5 we learn, “Perhaps my children have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” This was Job’s regular custom.” Job was worrying that his sons might be sinning. And then Job lost his fortune, fire took place, he got sick, and lost his sons and daughters. Why would these things happen to such an upright God fearing person? Job said, “The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised” (vs 21). It is so written in the Bible, however, this was not what God had said, but it was said by Job. Job said, “God gives and God takes away”.

Actually, we believe that God is He who gives and gives even more.
Why did such a rich man like Job lose his fortune, get sick, lose his children and become like a beggar? The problem was with Job’s confession.
What I feared has come upon me; what I dreaded has happened to me (Job 3:25). Job was fearful. And what was in his heart had been said by his mouth. Perhaps he was saying something like, “maybe one day I might lose my fortune, or lose my children because they sinned.”

For us, what we speak will come true.
Because Jesus was cursed on our behalf, we are no longer under any curse. Because we all have the curse from the sin of Adam and Eve, Jesus was put on the cross to remove that curse from us. You who believe in this, is not under any curse.

Let us say out loud,
”I am not under any curse. God’s plan is not to harm me but to give me peace, hope and a future. In the name of Jesus”.
When we continue to speak this, it will come to pass just as it has been said.
I may have talked about another sister who had been living on a meager salary from the church. She said to herself, “Since Pastor Joh is always saying he is blessed, why don’t I say it too.”
When she started to speak, “I am blessed”, the blouse she had been wanting was given to her by a church council member, and she started to obtain things at low costs. When she was going overseas at the time fuel charges were escalating, she was told her flight had been changed and for that the fuel charge was being waived. It is important to confess!

Let us look at anther verse regarding confession. “From the fruit of his mouth a man’s stomach is filled; with the harvest from his lips he is satisfied. The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit” (proverbs 18:20, 21).

Everything about us is decided by what we speak.
Speak what is good. Good things will happen to those who are saying,
”I am blessed!” “I am healed”. If you think and say, “I am sick”, then you are continuing to hold on to that.

Let us look into what it is that we should confess.
As a Christian, if you do not know the difference between the truth and reality, then faith can fluctuate.

A person questioned me, “Pastor Joh, you are always energetic. Do you not get discouraged?” I think this is because I know the difference between “reality” and “truth”.
What we are to confess is not the “reality”.
There are three types of Christians.

First, there are those who are praying but do not understand the heart of God. They do not know if their prayers will be answered or not, but they are praying.
Second, there are those, let us say are sick, for example. Though they are sick in reality, these are the people who by faith are receiving in advance, by praying and proclaiming that they have been healed. All is well as long as they are in belief. However, when the condition prolongs, because their standing position is in the reality, they look at the surroundings, and seeing that they have not been healed thus far, they become discouraged.

I had been suffering from an allergy related nasal condition. I kept saying, “I believe I am healed”, but I was not healing for a long time. It became painful for me to say, “I believe I am healed”, because I was beginning to feel as though I was lying.

Today, I would like for you to leave in knowing the difference between “reality/fact” and “truth”, that which is meant by the Bible. When you come to understand this, you can always be joyful.
I have here a bottled drink.
Who believes there is a bottled drink here?
You do not have to believe that do you? Because it is here, it is a fact that it is here. To believe means believing in something when that something is not in the reality. When asked, whether this bottled drink is the ” truth”, though it is actually here, can I say that is the “truth”? What is the “truth”?

Jesus said: “I am the way and the truth and the life (John 14:6).
And before Jesus was put to the cross, He said: “In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth (John 18:37). “What is truth?” Pilate asked (vs. 38).
Unless a Christian understands what the “truth” is, he cannot walk the true walk of life.
The “truth” is unchanging.
When this service is over, the remaining water in this bottle will be brought back to Ena in the car. Therefore, the fact that this bottled drink is here now, is not an unchanging matter. Therefore, it is not the truth, but a fact.
The fact that this bottled drink is here is not the truth.
We must be clear about this.
There is a difference between the “truth” and the “fact”.
What is it that we must confess?
We are not to confess our wishes, or, confess the present condition.
For some twenty years, I suffered in confessing, “I am healed”, when I was not healed. This suffering was solved.

First of all, what is the “truth”?
When you come to understand the difference between the “truth” and the “fact”, you will stand in true faith and not waver.
(It is this person who is standing on true faith which is the third type of Christian.)
“Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth ( John 17:17).
God’s word is the “truth”.
Do you know how this world had come to be?
The reason why the people of the world do not understand God is because they only accept the “reality”, that which they can see.

As we journey in the way of the Christian life, we should know the realm of the “reality”, and the other realm which is that of the “spiritual”.
“By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible (Hebrew 11:3)”.
As we walk our Christian lives, we must recognize that there is the world of the “reality” and the world of the invisible (spiritual world).

”What is seen was not made out of what was visible”.
This is the creation of God.
Satan will say, “You say you are healed but you are sniffling. You are not healed yet.” Furthermore, we sin as we carry on in our Christian lives. Then, Satan will say, “You call yourself a Christian? A Pastor?” In “reality or fact”, that is so.
Satan is the ruler of this world. Satan is controlling what is visible.
That is why Satan will direct you to look at the reality.
I suffered in confessing “I am healed” though my nasal inflammation was there. As a Christian, lying will bring on suffering. Satan will also say, “Are you going to lie in saying that you are healed when you are not?”
I want you to understand well what it is that we should be confessing.
Unknowingly, we sometime say out loud the “present state” of things.
We say things like: ”I don’t have money.” “Sickness is prolonging.” “I’m lacking ability.”

Now let us see what Satan is like. Satan is the ruler of this world.
He is the controller of the visible world that this is.
The devil gives the riches of this world to those he picks.
“You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies” (John 8:44).
Satan is not standing on the “truth”.
Furthermore, he is not standing on the “Word”.

Let us look once again at Hebrew 11:3,
“By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.”
This world was made by the Word of God.
”What was not visible” is meant as God’s Word.
All things were made by the Word of God.
Satan may talk about “reality”. But that is not the “truth”.
”God’s Word” is the “truth”.

In leading a Christian life, one will become discouraged as long as he is wondering if he can do something or not, if he posses such faith or not.
However, when you believe in God, in Jesus, and take the position that what God is saying is exactly about you, then your thinking pattern will begin to change.

“By his wounds you have been healed” (1 Peter 2:24). In the Bible it is written so in the past tense. Therefore, we pray,“I have been healed.”
For two month, I was inconvenienced by the fact that I had double vision from my left eye. At that time I kept saying, “I believe my eye has been healed.” The following day I would say, “I believe I am healed.” After a month, I was saying, “I believe I am healed.” When I looked into the mirror I was seeing four eyes. Satan will say, “you are not healed, look at the reality.” For two month I continued to say, “I believe I am healed, and I was healed. Reality changes by the “Word of God, the truth”.

If we hold on tightly to the “truth, that which is unchanging”, then we can bring that into this world. However, for those who do not hold on tightly, that will not happen. To believe means not to recognize the “reality” of not being healed. I have talked about my wife before.
She was semi-paralyzed due to cerebral infarction.
“In the name of Jesus, left hand move!” Still no movement. But I don’t quit. The devil says, “It’s not going to move, it is impossible.” He attacks with “reality, the fact”. However, the “truth” is the “Word of God”.
1 Peter 2:24: “By his wounds you have been healed”. This is the “truth”.
Next day I said, “In the name of Jesus, hold my finger!” Then she held my finger. She recovered, and a month later she was released from the hospital.
What would have happened if my wife’s hand did not move the second day?
I would have continued speaking, “In the name of Jesus, left hand move!”
Is there anyone sick at this time? Perhaps in reality there is that sickness.
However, we must know what to confess. It is the Word of God that we shall confess. The Word of God is the” truth and it is unchanging”.
When we believe in that which is invisible and “unchanging”, “reality” will change. This is the nature of our faith.
If the Word of God says we are “healed”, then we are healed.
That is the “truth”.

A sister in Okinawa is confessing, “I am blessed!”
She has no husband, the daughters have no work, and she herself had no work in recent times. In such midst, by confessing the “truth” in proclaiming, “I am blessed!”, the “reality” begins to change. She received, 500,000 yen, 1,000, 000 yen, and I was told she was also given work.
That is because the Bible says, “ For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
When we continue to mouth, “that is mine”, then that begins to take place.

Let us proclaim again today:
”I am blessed in the highest!
“I am loved by God in the highest!”
“I am more than a conqueror.”
“I have decided to forgive all people and love all people!”.
“In the name of Jesus. Amen.”

Satan is a liar (John 8:44). What is a lie? Here is a bottled drink. This is “reality”. This can become a lie. What is it compared to that this becomes a lie? When that is compared against the “truth”. Perhaps you are sick at this time. Perhaps you are troubled financially. Perhaps you are amidst problems.
But looked at from the standpoint of the “truth” which is the Bible, those are “lies”. Satan is not standing on the “truth”. You may be suffering from illness. And Satan will say, “in fact that is so”. However, Jesus was put on the cross and had taken the curse of your illness upon himself, therefore, that curse does not belong to you. What is there is a “lie.” Anyone who understands this and proclaims, “I believe I have been healed in Jesus”, for him the “reality” will change no matter how many years he has been sick.
For 25 years, Abraham kept believing in being given a child. Why was he able to continue believing for such a long time? It is because he was not looking at the “reality”. “The child is not born yet, maybe it is not possible.”
Not Abraham. He was standing on the “truth”. Abraham did not waver because he was standing on the Word of God, the truth, that said, “I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky, like the dust of the earth” (Genesis 12~).

Those who have problems now, please say, “This present condition that I am in is not right!” It is not right for me to remain in sickness. It is not right for me to remain in poverty. It is not right for me to be without work. We must speak these. Blessings will come when we believe so. When we believe, those blessings will come. Galatians 3:13, 14: “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree. He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.”
Those who proclaim, “I am blessed”, who are standing on the Word that is the truth, do not waver. Those who are standing on “reality”, and speaking with the feeling of, “I wish if it would turn out this way”, when answers to prayers are prolonged, they relent to saying, “perhaps it is not possible.”

Today, I would like for you to remember that what we are proclaiming is not our wishes, but the “truth of the Word”. I suffered in not knowing the difference between the “truth” and “reality.” The Word is unchanging. We shall stand on the “truth”, on the “Word.” Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away (Mark 13:31). We shall be free when we know the “truth”!

To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” (John 8:31, 32).

Many do not understand the truth. They only understand what is visible. But the“truth”is in the invisible.

Person with cancer gets healed, and like in Pastor Gwajima’s ministry, the deceased come back to life. Because there is belief in the Word of truth that says to raise the dead, such a phenomenon is taking place. Furthermore, if you will abide in the truth, you will truly become disciples of Jesus. Jesus is saying He has taken the place of your sickness. If you will believe that then you are His disciple, and just as He says will surely come to pass though we do not know when.

And when you come to know the truth, you will be free.
In the unseen, there are many “truths”.

For example, is there someone who is in financial difficulty? In the spiritual realm, there is the truth that says you shall not be troubled (Ephesians 1:3).
We are not to look at the world of “reality”. The Word is the “truth”.
Therefore, we shall stand on the Word. That is our standing position.

Jesus became poor for our sake.
“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich” (2 Corinthians 8:9). Therefore, in Christ we are rich.
Therefore, we will continuously proclaim, “I am rich”.

Because we proclaim this “truth”, reality changes.
Like Job, should we say something other than what the Word says, then we happen to invite that on. We are not to be speaking the symptoms of the reality. The doctor may speak of worse symptom. He may say something fearful that may cause anxiety. We, however, will not be that way. For God has given to us a plan that is, “not of anxiety but of peace, future and hope”, which is God’s Word. Therefore, my life is rich in hope!

Those who believed that sickness has been healed knows that in the spiritual realm this has already been accomplished, therefore, he does not dwell everyday on whether he has been healed or not, but instead, he thinks about how he will exist in the reality until healing comes. He knows he is going to be healed, therefore, he can think about what he will do when he is healed. In the meanwhile, he is positive, perhaps thinking about obtaining qualifications to find work, etc.
I will confess of the “truth”.
The Devil will look at me and say, “Is your attitude appropriate for a pastor? And you call yourself a Christian?”

What is the Bible saying to us about the “truth”?
“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,” (Romans 8:1). You are not condemned to sin.
This is the “truth”. God’s Word says you are definitely not condemned, but you are condemning yourself to sin. That is because you are looking at “reality/fact”.

Should we sin, then let us pray, “Father in heaven, I have sinned. I have done what is wrong but please forgive me now, for on the cross, Jesus has paid for all my sins until I go to heaven. I believe I have been forgiven, and I give thanks unto you.” And then we shall proclaim the Word of the truth.
As we look into the Bible, we are being the person that is even unimaginable to ourselves.

Japan’s revival will take place from now, but what is said of the kind of people God will use? He will use those who are without worldly wisdom, power or knowledge, the ordinary, marginalized and many kinds of people.
If someone is not able to believe that, then that is when he is looking at the “reality” of his ability, thinking that he will not be used.

Paul had wisdom. He was distinguished. Then, why was he of wisdom used by God? It is because he said, the wisdom and ability he held were “rubbish”.
“What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ”, (Philippians 3:8).
He did not say he was of excellence, far superior to others, and that surely he ought to be used. Rather, he said he has nothing.

You may say, “I have nothing”. But if you begin to speak the “Word of truth” and say, “I who have nothing is quite awesome in Christ”, then you will change.
Do not look at yourself which is in the“reality/fact”.
It is a fact that I am not smart. I am lazy and I am weak.
However, in the “truth”, I am more than conquerors. “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us”, (Romans 8:37). When we confess that, then that which we confess will begin to take place.

We shall not look at the “reality”.
The “reality”, when compared with the “truth” could be a lie.
What is real is the ”truth”.

“But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation”, (Colossians 1:22).
Reconciliation has already taken place through Jesus.
Therefore, we are holy, without blemish, free from accusations. We shall confess this every day.
For when we do so, the “reality” of being holy, without blemish, free from accusations, will come to pass.

Let us proclaim, “I am holy. I am without blemish. I am free from accusations. That is me! That is the “truth”! I am successful. I have been healed! I have no reason to be sick.”
When we are speaking the “truth” in this way, then if sickness is there, it will change to healing, and change for blessings will come to be. We must know the difference between “truth” and “reality”, and speak not the facts, but the “truth”.

I will close with a prayer.
“Merciful heavenly Father, we give you thanks. And we return all glory unto you.
That though in reality each person is not yet able to see who he really is, I give you thanks because he will know the realm of the truth, and when he proclaims the Word, he will come to know who he really is.

I give thanks because when we say what you had said, when we say the Word of God, as the visible evolves out of the invisible, our true selves, the selves of the truth will become the reality..

Though someone might be sick at this time, the truth of 1 Peter 2:24 that says, “by his wounds you have been healed”, will heal him, restore his health, make him able to work, and give him a life of future and hope. Therefore, I give thanks.
Though some might be thinking, “I am not capable”, “I don’t have the ability”, I give thanks that these people will become as so in declaring the Word of truth that says in Philippians 4:13, “ I can do everything through him who gives me strength.”

In the name of Jesus we will continue to speak the truth no matter what circumstances or situations we may be in.
We are not speaking lies. But the lies called “reality” will begin to change.
In the name of Jesus I give thanks.
Amen.”

“Hidden Christmas” 1

There are various mysteries in the Bible.
Speaking in tongues is a mystery, and various teachings also have a mystery.

Among them, there is a real mystery that cannot be argued.

We have Christmas in December,
It is not clearly prophesied where nor how Jesus will be born.

It is written not to be understood in the Old Testament.

In other words, it is hidden.
It says that if Satan knew about this mysterious Christmas, it would not have crucified Jesus on the cross.

But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
I Corinthians 2: 7-10 NKJV

Hidden mystery,
It is written that it is the wisdom of God, which was predetermined before the beginning of the world.

Some people might think that the plan of Christmas started with Adam’s sin in the Garden of Eden, but
The birth of Jesus was hidden from the beginning. (Genesis 3:15)

Message: Healing of the Woman Who Had Been Subject to Bleeding

Mark 5:22-34
Then one of the synagogue rulers, named Jairus, came there.
Seeing Jesus, he fell at his feet and pleaded earnestly with him,
“My little daughter is dying.
Please come and put your hands on her so that she will be healed and live.”
So Jesus went with him. A large crowd followed and pressed around him.
And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years.
She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse.
When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak,
because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.”
Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.
At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him.
He turned around in the crowd and asked,
“Who touched my clothes?” “You see the people crowding against you,”his disciples answered,
“and yet you can ask, ‘Who touched me?’“But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it.
Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth.
He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you.
Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”

 

Today I would like extend my message and conduct this healing session by focusing on the
“healing of the woman who had been subject to bleeding”.
Prior to this woman being healed, a synagogue ruler named Jairus, sought to have his daughter prayed for.
And we learn that this was just after evil spirit had been removed, and there was this man who had been delivered from Legion.
Therefore, many people were crowding, as we learn in verse 24:
“So Jesus went with him.
A large crowd followed and pressed around him.”
It was in this situation that the healing of the woman who had been subject to bleeding was healed.

The suffering condition of this woman was such that, as it is stated in verse 25,she had been subject to bleeding for twelve years.
She probably had much wealth, but she had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had (vs 26),
so her condition left her with nothing.
Instead of getting better, she was worse off, and nothing worthwhile happened.

 

We all have dependency on something.
If there is someone with power and authority, a salaried worker might think of drawing near to him with flattery,thinking to get promoted. Or,a local business person might use flattery to make a business deal with someone influential in the locality.

 

Maybe this woman had thought to seek prominent doctors to get healed.
But her expectations were betrayed, and rather than getting better, the condition got worse.
Why did she make such a mistake?The mistake she made was that she had depended on the wrong.
She depended on what is not capable of answering her.
The Bible tells us to “Stop trusting in man, who has but a breath in his nostrils.” (Isiah 2:22)
It means that we should not depend on man.But this woman depended on doctors who are human beings.
Today, what is it that you depending on for your living?
On what are you placing your expectations on?

 

Let us be as how the woman who had been subject to bleeding was healedbyplacing her expectations on Jesus.
We, too,shall not make the mistake about what to depend on.

We learn next, ”Because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed” (vs 28)”.
In the New International Version Bible, the footnote on the phrase “she thought”, is referred to as “she said”.
She must have been constantly proclaiming, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed”.
Having been under such a terrible condition, she figured,“I now have only Jesus to depend on”,
and spoke, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.”
She said, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.”

 

We too shall depend on what is sure.
And carry on being expectant of the sure one.
And speak out our expectations.
Hope will arise for those who would do so.

 

We are told that this woman had lost her money, and her condition got worse.
Yet, she had her hope.
That Jesus shall surely answer her.
With expectations placed on Jesus the sure one, she was able to hold on to hope, though being under the terrible conditionthat she was in.
Is there any among you without hope?
What is it that you are proclaiming everyday?
Are you saying, “Oh life is not that easy going?”
From life without hope and life within resignation, we are unable to attain anything.
Now let us place our expectations on Jesus.
As we place our expectations on the sure one, we must conduct ourselves right.
You might be a Christian.
You may already be believing in Jesus, but right now, you must precisely decide on who it is that you will depend on.
And then you must conduct yourself in the right way.

 

A person may be believing in Jesus, but if that person has no expectations of Him,
and thinksthat his life will carry on as is until its end, then this person is not living as the woman who had been subject to bleeding,
and healing may not be received.
The woman touches the clothes of Jesus.
Touching the clothes of those other than Jesus will not result in her receiving the blessings.
She was healed after touching the clothes of Jesus that had the power of God and full of blessings.
She depended on the sure one and made the right move.What was its result?
“Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering” (vs 29).

 

Why was she healed?
She touched, not on one who has but a breath in his nostrils, but on the son of God who gives the sure answer,
and she conducted herself in the right way.

I often mention that the bullet train does not move because you ride on it, but it moves because it is on the rail.
When we depend on the one that is sure, and run on the sure path, it will happen. Is anyone ill at this time?
Let us conduct ourselves right.
Today, we are able to experience the miraculous works of God.

 

The other day I was in Nago of Okinawa.
There, God’s miraculous power had occurred during the worship, before the message was given.
A person suffering of back pain got healed right there.
Also, a woman deaf in her right ear became able to hear.
She was able to hear the voice of a lady worshiping even when she covered her left ear.
She could not hear the sound of the piano, but she was rejoicing.
I believe more miraculous works will take place.
Now, then, who will it be that we are going to be expecting upon?

 

Maybe at your home or here in this hall you are not able to see Jesus.
But even if you don’t see Him, Jesus is present.
And when you touch on Jesus, or when you attempt to touch Jesus, healing begins.

 

Itis not I that have the power to heal, but Jesus does.
Today, at this time, if you will to expect of Jesus, then His works will appear at your place.

 

When the woman who had been subject to bleeding touched Jesus,
Jesus felt it, as we see in verse 30: “At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him.
He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?”
There was a multitude of people.
Many miracles were performed, and those that saw the power of Jesus who ridded the evil spirit may have thought,
“I want to touch Jesus, I want Jesus to touch me,” just as the woman who had been subject to bleeding thought.

 

This woman touched Him amongst the crowd.
“But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it” (vs 32).
”Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth” (vs 33).

 

We must not go to God only to seek healing.
We must live in such a way that we will look up to God in all things.
You might be in need of healing.
However, when we are healed, it should not be that we are not in need of God any longer,
but that we live in union with God, and in so doing, we receive all things from Him.

 

This woman who had been subject to bleeding fell at the feet of Jesus.
We must not forget to offer the worship of thanksgiving whenever God’s work is manifested.
Let us always be such.

 

“He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you.
Go in peace and be freed from your suffering (vs 34).”

 

Those wishing to receive healing and blessings, may be praying, “heal me”, “give me money”,
“let me pass the test”, “let me marry someone wonderful”.
While it is good to seek in prayer, in the case of this woman who received her healing,
she was healed because she had the faith to receive the healing.

 

She did not receive her healing by having Jesus pray for her.
It was by the faith that she held one-sidedly to believe, “if only I touch His clothes.”

 

In faith, there is the faith of the one that prays, and faith of the one that receives.

 

The example I often give is the one about the bottled drink.
Let’s say there is someone who wants to give the bottled drink and someone who wants to receive it.
If the recipient does not extend his hand to receive it, it will not be received.

 

In this way, this woman went in front of God, with her hand extended to receive.

 

If you wish to receive the miraculous works of God, you must have this heart and faith.
If you yourself do not believe,
and are wondering whether you would be healed or not, then nothing will happen.
When we ourselves believe, “surely I shall be healed,” then it would happen.

 

I have often talked about the time my wife was semi-paralyzed.

 

First day of praying, she did not move.
Second day I continued to pray.
On this second day, her hand moved and she grasped my finger.

 

We must go in front of God with such faith that we will never give up,
that we will absolutely receive of Him.

 

Let’s look at another aspect.
What was the circumstance of this woman who had been subject to bleeding?
What did Jesus say?“Go in peace.”

 

I would like for you to understand that Jesus is not just a healer.
This woman’s illness of bleeding was healed.
However, there was something she did not have. Money.
How was she to make a living after this?
Is He telling her to go in peace because she recovered from her illness?

 

Her sense of peace is not just about recovering from illness.
Her peace lies in how she will go about living from there.
Jesus said, “Go in peace.”And this woman went in peace.
In other words, Jesus will sustain her living,as well as, of those others facing difficulties.
“Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns,
and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?”(Mathew 6:26).
This woman, until meeting Jesus, was depending on the wrong, she lost her wealth, became poor, and may even have been like a beggar.
God told her, you have met Jesus so your life will become such that you do not have to be troubled,
therefore, “Go in peace.”

 

Furthermore, Jesus says to her, and also to us, “Be freed from your suffering.”

 

Maybe you are unemployed at this time.
Or, you do not have enough income.
But as Jesus had said to this woman, He is saying to us, “Go in peace.
I will take care of everything about you.”Amen!

 

I believe she received not only healing,
but that she went on having peace for her onward life.
If you would depend on God who fulfillsyour all in this manner,
your illness will be cured and your needs will be met.

 

When we believe in this Jesus who is the sure one,
who even died but then resurrected, we will receive those blessings.

 

Now after the woman who had been subject to bleeding was healed,this time,
mencame from the house of Jairus who had earlier asked for healing for the daughter.

 

“Your daughter is dead,” they said.
“Why bother the teacher anymore?” (vs. 35).

 

They must have thought, since the daughter was dead,
it was no longer necessary to have Jesus come.
What did Jesus say when He heard this?

 

“Don’t be afraid; just believe” (vs 36).

 

The woman who had been subject to bleeding received her blessing by believing.
She received by her faith.
But the men from of Jairus’ house did not have that faith.
Nor, did Jairus himself.

 

In order to have them hold on to that same faith (faith to receive), Jesus told them to, “Just believe.”

 

This is not about being prayed for by Jesus, or being prayed for by so and so teacher.

 

Unless you believe, you cannot receive.
As in the example of the bottled drink, “giving”, “receiving”,
“pouring faith” “receiving faith”, the giving and taking transaction is necessary.

 

You may be a Christian.
You may have had your faith for a long time.
But if any of you are feeling that you have not experienced God,
then you must definitely receive the Word of God that says, “Just believe.”
Regarding my wife’s condition, the doctors had told me it might becritical.

 

But I just believed.
I completely believed in the Word of God in 1 Peter 2:24,
that by the blood of Jesus she has been healed.
Today we are working together.
Now, we must conduct ourselves in the right way.
Once we become aware of the one that is the sure one, we must receive properly.
Unless otherwise, we are not able to receive anything.

 

There are those who can experience the works of God before one’s eyes, and those who cannot.

 

“He did not let anyone follow him except Peter, James and John the brother of James” (vs 37).
Jesus had 12 disciples.
However, He does not take 12.
It was Peter, James and John.
On the Mount of Transfiguration,
it was also these three who was with Jesus when he was transfigured..
Why was it these three?
Why were they able to together take part in this glory?
I believe that for us to be able to witness and experience such a scene,
our hearts must be prepared.

 

“When they came to the home of the synagogue ruler,
Jesus saw a commotion, with people crying and wailing loudly (vs 38).
The daughter has died. Family and servants are in commotion.
They are all thinking that it is all too late, she had died and there is no way of saving.
However, Jesus, though he was informed of the death, He said.
“Just believe.”
Now let’s read verse 39.
“He went in and said to them, “Why all this commotion and wailing? The child is not dead but asleep” (vs. 39).
She did die.
On the one that died, Jesus says she is sleeping.
Asking, “Why are you wailing and crying?”

 

In our walk of faith, and as we go on being blessed,
there is something that we need to know.
And that is about the reality or fact. Here, the daughter died.
But Jesus, who surpasses reality or fact, is standing on the truth.

 

I always use the example of the bottled drink.
The bottled drink I have here exists.
Will this be always existing here? No.
It is a reality and fact that it exists here.
But if you ask if it is the truth, then I must say it is not.
Because truth is unchanging.

 

After worship, I will probably take this bottled drink back to Ena,
it will not remain here.
It is not unchanging.

 

It may be that you now have no money, or you may be sick or unemployed.
But rather than voicing the present reality, we must instead,
not forget to stand on the truth and speak accordingly.
Jesus had people leave the room.
Because those who are wailing are unable to see the moment of a miracle.

 

Now, then, who were those who could respond?

 

“But they laughed at him.
After he put them all out, he took the child’s father and mother and the disciples who were with him,
and went in where the child was” (vs.40).
Only Peter, James, John and the parents were allowed to go where the dead daughter of Jairus was.
Others were not allowed.
The others of the 12 disciples must have wanted to be there,
but even if they wailed they were not allowed.
Those who thought prayers cannot be answered were notallowed to enter.
Only those who are able to stand on faith, and fully believe in the arising of the dead,
and the parents that desperately hoped for the daughter to arise were allowed in.
“He took her by the hand and said to her,”
“Talithakoum!”” (which means, “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”) (vs.41).

 

In our lives we come across deaths and illnesses.
These are reality and fact.
Yet, we stand on the truth.
The truth is that which is eternally unchanging.
We believe in Jesus. Or some might be leaning to believe.
At this moment, what is it that we are believing in?
Or, what is it that we are leaning to believe in?

 

This is not just about the expectation on being cured.
Do not just expect that you will be cured!
The Bible says, Heaven and earth will pass away.
Then what is it that will remain?
“Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away” (Mark 13:31).
It is the Word of the Bible.
Therefore, for those with expectations at this time,
I would like to have you grip the unchanging Word of God.
You are not receiving because you expect.
It is in holding on to the Word of God, and by the Word of God,
you are headed to receiving the healing.

 

“By his wounds you have been healed”, (1 Peter 2:24).
For those of you who are seeking healing, please repeatedly proclaim this Word of God.
Healing can come instantly on this day, or it can come gradually.
We, therefore, believe in this Word of God.
This is the truth, therefore, as were repeatedly speak it, it will happen.

 

The Gospel says, you have been healed.
It doesn’t say you will be healed.
It says you have been.
The healing has already taken its place.
If you are told 500,000 yen has been remitted to your bank account, won’t you go to claim it?
In reality, the cash is not in your hands, but if it is in the bank, then you can go to claim it.
In reality, it may be that you are sick.
In the spiritual realm, when we die, we will go to heaven,
and there in heaven, healing already exists.

 

“By his wounds you have been healed”
Jesus had taken the burden of your sickness and sin.

 

When that woman who had been subject to bleeding went through the crowd
and drew near to Jesus and touched his clothes,she was cured.
When you, too, go to claim it, it will happen.

 

Let us return to Mark chapter 5.
“Immediately the girl stood up and walked around (she was twelve years old).
At this they were completely astonished (vs 42).
Maybe in reality the doctors are saying it cannot be healed, that it is an incurable disease.
But then we say, we have been healed by the stripes of Jesus.
Rather than standing on reality, standupon the Word of God that says, “Heaven and earth will pass away,
but my words will never pass away,” and cling on to His Word, then it will happen.
Just as the woman who had been subject to bleeding, believing that on that day she will be healed, got healed.

 

“He gave strict orders not to let anyone know about this, and told them to give her something to eat (vs 43).
Tothe woman who had been subject to bleeding, Jesus asked that she shows herself,
but this time, he asks not to tell anyone about it.
Why is that?
It is because the woman who had been subject to bleeding, Jesus had not prayed over.

 

When Jesus does the works, he does not bring the glory upon himself.
He brings about glory to God.

 

This time Jesus prayed and the dead person revived.
Therefore, Jesus said, “do not tell anyone,” because the glory would go to Him.
Now and beyond, many people will be used by God.
It doesn’t matter who it was that prayed or preached.This is what is being taught to us here, I believe.

 

It is Jesus who does.
On this day, too, it is Jesus who will touch.
When you fully believe that Jesus will suffice your needs, then His glory will appear.

 

Jesus told the woman who had been subject to bleeding, “Go in peace”.
I will take care of your financial needs, “Go in peace”.
The thoughtfulness and caring of Jesus is incredible.

 

While everyone is surprised that Jairus’ daughter was revived, Jesus is calm.
Jairus the father was so taken by his daughter coming back to life. But Jesus says, “give her something to eat.”
What a wonderful God.

 

This is the kind of God our God is.

Message: What Christians Ought to Seek

We Christians, what is it that we aiming toward with our life? What are you seeking as you are living your Christian life? Perhaps someone has a dream and is praying to God about that dream. However, no matter how many kinds of dreams there are, one day, this life will surely come to an end. Someone might say he wants to succeed in business, but if he dies, then that dream will amount to nothing.

In 1 Corinthians 13:13, it is written: “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love.” What is it that you are seeking? What do you have your hopes on?
We shall like to be people who have eternal hope.

There was a person named Moses who aimed toward Canaan (Exodus). He led the people of Israel from Egypt to Canaan. Moses may have thought that he had to lead the people of Israel to the land of Canaan because God instructed him to, but indeed, Moses was seeking something else.

What was Moses seeking? What are you seeking? We, as Christians, should like to know what it is that we ought to be seeking.

*Moses was seeking something other than the land of Canaan. It has been said that life is like a journey. For the traveler, there is no home. They say life is like that.

(Hebrew 11:16)
“Instead, they were longing for a better country–a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.”

It was not just Moses, but all those who appear in the Old Testament had experienced God under various problems. Though a small country, they won over a powerful country. But what they were seeking was not that kind of victory, nor, the solutions to various problems in this land, but in fact, they were searching for an even superior home land, the homeland of heaven.

Adam and Eve had sinned in the Garden of Eden. They were tricked by Satan and ate the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Because of this, what were some of the things that got forbidden? And what kind of difficulty arose?
Adam and Eve ate the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil and sinned. Then they were forbidden to go near the tree of life that they may not eat of its fruit.

(Genesis 3:24)
“After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.”

Man was banished from the Garden of Eden. Trouble happened to man that he was no longer able to go near God.

*In the Old Testament, it became difficult for Adam and Eve to return to where God was.
Though it was possible in the Old Testament era to go near God, there were various restrictions, difficulties and limitations.

(Numbers 18:7)
“But only you and your sons may serve as priests in connection with everything at the altar and inside the curtain. I am giving you the service of the priesthood as a gift. Anyone else who comes near the sanctuary must be put to death.”

Who was able to go near God? Since the tabernacle of Moses was built, only the priests were able to draw near to God inside the tabernacle. Others were not allowed to go near. If they did, they had to die. Only the priests received that gift and they were allowed to draw near. A whole lot of people could not go near.

If there is anyone here who is wondering whether he can enter heaven because of his unrighteousness, or thinks he is not able to go near God, then I am desiring that by the end of this message, your thinking will have changed, and that you will know for certain, that even though you sin, you can enter into heaven, and you will know that you have been forgiven. I believe God will make it so.

I do not know how far I can speak today, but I would like for you to understand.

(Numbers 3:10)
“Appoint Aaron and his sons to serve as priests; anyone else who approaches the sanctuary must be put to death.”

Others who go near will be killed. They may not go near. Adam and Eve could not go near. There was that “flaming sword flashing back and forth” so they could not go near. The tabernacle of Moses was created, which was the temporary tabernacle of heaven on earth, but that was a place where only the priests could go near.

Next, there were not just the priests, but those who helped the priests as their subordinates.

(Numbers 1:51)
“Whenever the tabernacle is to move, the Levites are to take it down, and whenever the tabernacle is to be set up, the Levites shall do it. Anyone else who goes near it shall be put to death.”

The Levites were those who were permitted to do certain things under the priest, but as for others, they had to be killed. The tabernacle of Moses had to be reconstructed every time they moved. It was disassembled, then, assembled again; and doing this was the work of the Levites.

Within the tabernacle was the Ark of the Covenant. During the time of David, while they were carrying the Ark of the Covenant on oxen cart, a man named Uzzah reached out and took hold of the ark of covenant to prevent it from falling, and he died
(II Samuel 6).

We see that, “It must not be touched”.
We see that, even the priest went in front of God with his life at stake.
In such strictness, then, how are we to go to heaven, or go near God?

During the Old Testament days, only the limited number of priests was able to draw near God. The Levites were permitted to disassemble and assemble the tabernacle.
The priests were not able to go near God without having certain things.

(Leviticus 16:3)
“This is how Aaron is to enter the sanctuary area: with a young bull for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering.”

This matter is about sacrifice.
They had to go with sacrifices.
In other words, in order to go near God, a sacrifice, the blood, had to be carried.
Without that, it was not possible to go near God. That was the system in the Old Testament days. And that was not all.

*To draw near God, there were various restrictions. What did the priests do to go near?

(Exodus 19:22)
“Even the priests, who approach the LORD, must consecrate themselves, or the
LORD will break out against them.”

God had it that He would not allow Adam and Eve to draw near. However, permission was given, and it became possible to meet the Presence in the tabernacle of Moses (the model of the true sanctuary of heaven). However, certain conditions had to be met. The Bible says, the body must be consecrated unless God’s anger will fall upon them.

How is consecration done?

(Exodus 30:20)
“Whenever they enter the Tent of Meeting, they shall wash with water so that they will not die.”

The priest had to wash themselves with water. Unless they were cleansed by water, it was not possible for them to draw near God.

(Leviticus 22:3)
“Say to them: ‘For the generations to come, if any of your descendants is ceremonially unclean and yet comes near the sacred offerings that the Israelites consecrate to the LORD, that person must be cut off from my presence. I am the LORD.”

To go near God we must be clean. We are not able to draw near God in our unclean state. More and more, in our daily lives we are not clean, not right. There is the sin of Adam, and our own sin. Furthermore, as in the Old Testament days, we are not the Levites, nor priests. We are unclean sinners. How can I go to heaven?

We shall see later, however, that God has made us such that we can draw near Him.

The priests could not go there in only being purified. In order for them to enter the tabernacle of Moses, they wore a garment which had on it strung pomegranate and bells that made sounds. The sounding was a sign that said there are people in the tent, and because people would die should they see God, God did not show His presence. This was a sign that said, “I am here”. There was a rope attached that should the priest die in the tent, he could be pulled to the outside. It was a service of life at stake. That garment was called the ephod.

(Exodus 28:43)
“Aaron and his sons must wear them whenever they enter the Tent of Meeting or approach the altar to minister in the Holy Place, so that they will not incur guilt and die. “This is to be a lasting ordinance for Aaron and his descendants.”

Wearing the ephod = if the priest’s garment was not worn, he would die.

Approaching God was a difficult task. If something was left out, one would die. Should one see God, he would die. Should one not be pure, he would die. Without wearing the Ephod, he would die. Without the blood of the animal, he would die.

*Moses and the people longed to return to the God of heaven, but they knew that was difficult. And yet they sought after it. They longed, “We want to go”.
If we are to seek the ultimate, it is about returning to where God is.
But if that is difficult as this, how can we return there? When we come know its exact answer, despite sinning day to day, I would like for you to be saying, “I am fine! I am forgiven! I am not a priest of the Old Testament, not a Jew but a Gentile, but I am fine!”, and be convinced of the fact that you will surely enter God’s Kingdom.

It is alright for us Christians to pray for success of business or healing of sickness, but that is not the ultimate goal. Our greatest joy and goal ought to be the ability to go where we are unable to go, the ability to draw near to where we cannot approach.

(1 Timothy 6:16)
“Who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen.”

We want to draw near, but if we do, we die. In the tabernacle of Moses, the model of heaven on earth, it was possible to draw near and continue living as long as the ephod was worn, blood of the animal was held, purification by water was done, and God was not seen. But to actual heaven, no one could go. God is in the “the unapproachable light”. We are forever unable to go to where God is.

Had Adam and Eve not eat the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, we could have been conversing with God and be near Him. To say further, we who received the characteristics of Satan and having accumulated sin in day to day living, had been all the more far from God.
But we are already such that we can draw near to God.

*First of all, why is it that we can draw near God?
One reason was being the “priest”.
What does the Bible say about us?

(1 Peter 2:4)
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

All of us, believing in Jesus, are of royal priesthood. All Christians are priests by Jesus. Therefore, we are able to draw near God.
*There is one condition to this, however.

(Ephesians 2:18)
“For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.”

For us, it is “through Christ”.
Now then, what is meant by “through Christ”?
It means that by the blood that was shed by Christ, we are able to go near.

(Ephesians 2:13)
“But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ.”

Not by the blood of the animal, but by the blood of Christ we are made so that we can be near. Indeed, by the blood that was shed by Jesus.

*In verse 18 earlier, we read, “Through Christ by one Spirit”. What does this mean?
Verse 13 says, “But now in Christ Jesus”.

We must realize that we Christian were forgiven of our sins by believing in Jesus; we are no longer in our old self where we try not to sin in order to go near God.

It is not by how holy you are that you can draw near.
If that was the case, we would not be able to draw near God just as it was so for the people of the Old Testament.
However, here, we see, “in Christ Jesus”.
It is in Christ.

What we must realize is not about what we are, but where it is that we are!
We must have the consciousness of being in Christ.
As we are, we are not holy, we sin, we are not righteous.
The priests of the Old Testament would wash with water for purification. It was a covered form of righteousness, but by that, they drew near.
Now, however, we live in the righteousness of God, in other words, if we are in Christ, then we are living in the righteousness of God.

(1 Corinthians 1:30)
“It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God–that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.”

Christ is holy, Christ is God’s righteousness. Christ became the redemption.
If we are in that, then we are holy. We are in God’s righteousness and we have been redeemed. Therefore, we fulfill the condition of the Old Testament, and something superior to that has been readied, and we shall enter the kingdom of heaven.

When Jesus was put on the cross, curtain of the temple had split from the top. This shows to mean that all of us, in Christ, are able to draw near God. We are not drawing near God because we have become good people, but rather by becoming aware of ourselves being in Christ.

Let us proclaim:
“I believed in Christ, therefore, I am living in Christ. For Christ is holy, I am holy. For Christ is righteous, I have the righteousness of God”.

We Christian are in Christ.
*Let us look at one more.
Let us realize that we are “in Christ”. Many people become discouraged because they have sinned, or in not being able to draw near God. They say things like, “I fear the Lord’s Supper because I have sinned.”
It should not be so, for we are in Christ, we are righteous people.

In the Bible there are mysteries that are hidden. Until now, Satan had something he was hiding in the long history of the church, or in the church’s restoration. That is because if this mystery becomes known to Christians, or the church, Satan will no longer be our enemy. Christians and the church would become such that they would boldly draw near to God. This is something that Satan does not want for us to come to know.

(Colossians 1:26-27)
“The mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the saints. To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”

Jesus is within us.
This Jesus, He is the mystery.
To be in Christ, this is the mystery, the mystery that we are in Christ.
Because Jesus was hanged on the cross and died, and paid for our sins, we are holy.
I am in Christ. I am able to go to God as one who is in Christ. When we realize this mystery, we change.

In 1 Corinthians 1:2, it is written: “sanctified in Christ Jesus”. And in 1 Corinthians 15:22, it is written: “For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.”
In Christ, we are made to live.

(Ephesians 1:7)
“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.”
It is according to being in Christ!

*Why was it that the people of Old Testament were unable to go into the holies of the holy? Why do they die should they see the true God?
It is because a certain matter was not done.
For us, a certain matter is taking place between us and God because we are in Christ.
For us, reconciliation with God exists, because of Jesus.
Reconciliation with Adam has taken place, and reconciliation with you has taken place. Reconciliation has taken place over your sin. Because reconciliation has taken place even for those sins that you may commit in the future, through Christ and in Christ, we are already made as such that we can draw near to God.

And we are already made so that we do not die should we see God. We do not die by going to God, and so we are able to return to God.
This is the true happiness for us Christians.

(2 Corinthians 5:19)
“That God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.”

How is it that we can be reconciled with God?
Indeed, “God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ”. If one is to stand in front of God just as how he is, then no one can stand.
On our own, we are not able to go to God, we are such that in our unrighteousness,
our prayers can’t even be answered.

However, because Jesus took our place, by the righteousness, holiness, and the redemption that is in Christ, within Christ we need not be “persecuted for violations”; therefore, we are able to return to where God is. This is the mystery.

That prodigal son had returned (Luke 15).
He returned in the condition of being in Christ.
In the Old Testament, being “in Christ” did not exist, therefore, one could not return.
When we come to know this mystery, we will not dwell in our daily lives about this or that which we had done wrong, but that in Christ, we dwell on being righteous and forgiven. It was in this kind of way of life that that prodigal son, though not doing anything, was given fine clothes to put on and ate well. That was due to the mystery of being in Christ.

We must not lose sight of ourselves who is in Christ. Satan will attempt to make you forget that. “What do you think you are doing? Look at what is happening around you (reality).” However, when we recall ourselves as one who is in Christ, nothing can make us fall, we can see God and not die, and we will know that we have the righteousness of God.

(2 Corinthians 5:21)
“God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God”.

In Him = in Christ.
In believing in Jesus, are you in Christ?
If so, you must proclaim:
“I have the righteousness of God. Though I see God and return to heaven, I will not die.”

There is God’s presence in the radiant light, but because we are in Christ, we are able to enter into that light.

*We have become new persons. The old person may be there, but we must not be concerned by that, for we have been redeemed by Jesus.

(2 Corinthians 5:17)
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!”

It is saying that everything about us has become new.
A lot of Christians have lost sight of being in Christ, and so they are not thinking that they have been completely renewed. They are trying to improve on the old selves. The old self has died.

What sort of person is a new person?
Verse 17 says, “if anyone is in Christ.”
Why do Christians become energized when they read the Bible? It is because we are new persons. We do not have to be impressive. The Bible says prostitutes and tax collectors are entering the kingdom of God at ahead (Mathew 21:31).

“We are unable to continue doing what is right.
But because we are in Christ, and because we are forgiven, we are not condemned to
sin.

(Romans 8:1-2)
“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death”.

When Adam ate the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, we got tied to the law of sin and death. We were such that we could not draw near to God. However, by Jesus taking our place as our sacrifice, we have now become priests, we have become holy, we have become new persons, therefore, we are without sin, and made as those having the righteousness of God. So, “therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus”.

*In living a Christian life, Paul, too, had sufferings like us. But he solved them in thoughts of being in Christ.

(Romans 7:15-19)
“I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do–this I keep on doing.”

Within ourselves there is a part of us that try to do what is not right. Is there anyone suffering because inside of you there is a part that makes you do what you do not want to do? How is Paul answering to this?

Even Paul had a part of him that made him do things that prevented him from drawing near to God. Verse 20: “Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.” Paul said, what does sin is not himself, and that the old self had died to sin by the sacrifice of Jesus. Because Jesus is now living in him, and because he is a new creation, Paul said, “As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me.”

While we are in this consciousness of being in Christ, of course, you must repent of your sin when you commit sin, but when you are looking at your new self, you are not in sin any longer. That is why we can eagerly enter into heaven.
Let us be conscious that we are amidst this wonderful grace.

*Actually, our souls alone are already at that place of light where no others were able to go. We are not going to heaven from now, but in Christ, we are already at heaven.
In Christ, I have been put to the cross together with Christ, went to hell, and resurrected. If Christ had gone to heaven, then because we are in Christ, we too are in heaven, aren’t we!

Therefore, it is written:
(Ephesians 2:5-6)
“(God) made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions–it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus”.

Let us proclaim:
“Because I am in Christ, I am seated with Christ on the right hand of God. Amen.”
However, this is due to being in Christ, therefore, we must not leave Christ.

If you say you want to stop being a Christian, it is written: “Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven” (Mathew 10:32).
We must not come out of Jesus. We must remain in Jesus. This is important.

(Colossians 2:7)
“Rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

Let us live our daily lives being rooted in Christ.

Let us proclaim:
“I am in Christ. I have become a new person that is holy, without blemish, and free from accusation. In the name of Jesus. Amen.” (Colossians 1:22)

Because Jesus had solved the conditions that pertained to priests in the Old Testament, we are able to enter the realm of radiant light.
What Moses prayed for, we are having it now.

*I will touch quickly that because Jesus is interceding for us, we will enter heaven in completeness.

(Hebrews 7:25)
“Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.”

(John 14:6)
“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

*And another that is written is that, by the perfect hope, we can draw near God.

(Hebrews 7:19)
“(For the law made nothing perfect), and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God.

The ten commandments of Moses, the Law, could not be fulfilled by anyone. On the other hand, perfect hope was led in.
By this we shall draw near to God.
What is this hope?
In verse 22 it is written, “Because of this oath, Jesus has become the guarantee of a better covenant.”
This is because Jesus is different from the priests of the Old Testament. The priests of the Old Testament die. Jesus does not die. It is by the guarantee of a better covenant of Jesus who does not die, that we are able to draw near God.

*(Ephesians 3:12)
“In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.”

Because we are in Christ, by faith in Christ, we are able draw near to God with bold confidence. We give thanks!
It is awesome. Everyone, it is not about what you are or what you are not.
Jesus had done the incredible for us.

(Hebrew 11:6)
“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. We will draw near Him by faith.

Faith in that even when we are not right, (by Christ) we believe that we have been made right. We have become wonderful persons.
And we are allowed to glorify God in heaven and on earth.

(Leviticus 10:3) Old Testament
“Moses then said to Aaron, “This is what the LORD spoke of when he said:
“’Among those who approach me I will show myself holy; in the sight of all the people I will be honored.”

Because we are able to draw near God in heaven and on earth, we were made to show through us God’s glory and holiness! Amen! Thanks be to God!

Now let us proclaim:
“I have become one who can draw near God in Christ. My soul is already in heaven. I am blessed. I am a priest and I am holy. Therefore, because I am righteous, I am allowed to draw near God! In the name of Jesus. Amen.”

Therefore, your future concerns of marriage, employment, business; if you are in Christ, all are to be solved, aren’t they!
Our daily lives as Christians are in Christ!
Let us give thanks!

Message: The Lord’s Supper

Let us proclaim:

Japan belongs to the Lord! The world belongs to the Lord!”

Today we will be conducting the Lord’s Supper. What is the meaning of it?
I am always saying this, because some people seem to think it is a time to clear off sin, (because the word for “clear” and “supper”, though written differently, sounds alike). The Lord’s Supper is about receiving what is holy, as we know by its written character. The Lord’s Supper was established after Jesus resurrected. It did not exist prior to that. And there is a meaning to it.


We confess of our sins. And then we are forgiven.
We are not taking part in the Lord’s Supper today because we had sinned since the last time we took part in it, and that we are in the minus. Because we are receiving blessing over blessing, we are not taking part in the Lord’s Supper in order to have our sins forgiven, nor is it only an occasion for repentance. What is the meaning of us taking part in the Lord’s Supper?

We are within a tremendous blessing. In Old Testament, it was only the priests who were allowed to go before God, but even they were not permitted to go beyond the curtain. Taking part in the Lord’s Supper did not happen in the Old Testament’s tabernacle of Moses.

What is the meaning of us being able to receiving the Lord’s Supper? First, it is about our being forgiven of our sins. In the Old Testament, when standing before God, the priests were wearing the ephod, weren’t they? Today we are living in wearing Jesus Christ. We learned previously that because Jesus is holy, in wearing Jesus, we are able to draw near God. The priests also had with them the blood of the animal. We have with us the blood of Jesus. The blood of the animal brought one before the curtain. The blood of Jesus brings one beyond the curtain. The priests had to purify themselves with water, we, are able to go before God by the Word, by being purified by Jesus.

At the Lord’s Supper, surely we confess of our sins because we are going to be receiving of what is holy. At Corinth there were many problems happening. In the 1st Corinthians Chapter 11, there were people taking part of the Lord’s Supper in an unworthy way, whereby there became an increase in the weak and sick, and there were many that died. That goes to show that this is not just a ceremony, but that it is something very importantIt is not about taking the bread and the grape juice just because it is there.

1 Corinthians 11:27-31

Therefore, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord.  A man ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup.  For anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the body of the Lord eats and drinks judgment on himself.  That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep.  But if we judged ourselves, we would not come under judgment.”

1 Corinthians 11:23, 24

For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, ‘This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.’”


It is written here that in taking the Lord’s Supper without duly repenting of one’s sins, awful things started to happen. Only the purified can participate in the Lord’s Supper. If someone who does not believe in Jesus comes, we cannot say to him please eat. Only the pure can receive of it. Only the pure can go before God. The partaking of the Lord’s Supper is something that did not exist in the Old Testament. In the New Testament, because of the resurrection of Jesus, we are able to take part in the Lord’s Supper.


We are going to be repenting now, and in becoming pure, we will go before God, as the priests go before God by being purified with water.

The bread is the body of Jesus. The body of Jesus was whipped, and that whip tangled on his body, and as it was pulled off it snatched His flesh and scattered it. The Bible says Jesus rejoices as He sees His own rib bones. (Isaiah 53:11) He is rejoicing that He is being the sacrifice.
When we take part in the Lord’s Supper, surely, it is necessary to have the feeling of, “how painful it must have been for Jesus, what suffering it must have been, thank you Jesus. Since the last Lord’s Supper I took part in, I have committed many sin. Please, Lord, forgive me.” And we give thanks that because Jesus was hung on the cross, we can take part in the Lord’s Supper. Is it the will of God that we take part in the Lord’s Supper with such feelings?

When the prodigal son returned to God’s kingdom, he returned in thinking, “I am not worthy to be your son. I will be happy as a servant.” However, Father God is thinking, “this son had come alive and returned renewed!”

Therefore, I would like for you to truly understand the true meaning of partaking in the Lord’s Supper. We are able to go before God, to heaven. In other words, those who are able to participate in the Lord’s Supper are those who have received the privilege of entering the kingdom of God. ”My being able to receive the Lord’s Supper means that I have the conditions satisfied in order to go to the kingdom of God! That I am being accepted in that way!” I believe it is alright to receive the Lord’s Supper with such impression.


As the father was planning to embrace the prodigal son when he returned, though we may have sinned, if we are to be forgiven by the blood of Jesus and return, God will embrace us.

Yes, we must repent, however.

Now that we have received the permission to enter heaven, and by the precious blood of Jesus we have been forgiven of our sin, we can say, “Cheers! Really, because of Jesus, we have received the qualification to enter heaven. Thank you!”
Today I would like for this Lord’s Supper to be like that, I hope you will allow me.

What are the things that we must be mindful of when we take part of the Lord’s Supper? Though we are able to receive the Lord’s supper, there are people who do not want to take part in it, perhaps due to a strong sense of guilt within or due to not having the realization that they have been forgiven. But that is not so, we are forgiven by God. Then why is that person reserved? Maybe he feels that his sin is grave. Or to say further, maybe he does not know what Jesus had done for him, or maybe he is not ready to receive this privilege yet.

The cross of Jesus is such that, whether you are a prostitute or tax collector, if you believe in Jesus Christ, you are able to enter into the (tabernacle, heaven). That is how it is.

We are going to be receiving the Lord’s Supper. We are essentially saying, “We have been forgiven of sin and made holy, and more than that, by this Lord’s Supper¸ we have been given the permission to return to heaven.”


When we return to heaven, we become joined to those who are marching in triumph. (Colossians 2:15). We will not be returning, thinking, “I barely made it to be forgiven. I am not someone that can enter heaven.” We will go as a great victor.

Yesterday, I was speaking in Tokyo about what was written in the Old Testament. Therein is the account of the sins of many people. God is presenting to people about the ways to solve their problems but things are not being easily solved. You all know the blessing of Abraham. We are receiving the double blessings of Abraham and Jesus. The promise of Abraham is the blessing. But there is something mysterious here. Why did the descendents of Abraham become slaves when God had given Abraham the promise? Wasn’t the promise of Abraham about the blessing? That, which is not happening, is due to ourselves not accepting the blessing as we live our Christian lives. Maybe someone is saying, “Oh, Pastor Joh, you are always blessed, how nice that is, but I am not like you.” The last time I went to Okinawa, I had to transfer on to four buses, and every time the timing was perfect. The buses were running on 6 to 30 minute intervals, all coming at different times, but they arrived perfectly for me. This is because I am saying, “I am blessed.”


For us, in everything, there is the cause and the result. For you to walk the life of triumph, you must clearly know the meaning of the Lord’s Supper, and I would like for you to not refuse what Jesus had done and what God had promised, but proclaim them as they are totally yours.

Let us look into this.

God said He will give this land to Abraham. What does that mean?
It means the people of Canaan will be forced out.
Then why did the people of Canaan have to be force out?
There is the “cause” and the “result”.


Of the lives of Christians, there are those who say they are blessed, and those who say they are sometimes blessed, and those who say they are hardly blessed. Why does this occur? For me, as I carry on my Christian life, everything goes smoothly blessed. There is the “cause” and the “result”. It happens to those who partake in the Lord’s Supper, allowed by the blood of Jesus, that are forgiven of sin and who accept all of the grace. Those who are unable to accept and fully believe this, the blessings stop.

Why did the people of Canaan have to be force out of their land?
When Noah’s Ark landed in Mt. Ararat, Shem, Ham, and Japheth had children,

When he drank some of its wine, he became drunk and lay uncovered inside his tent.  Ham, the father of Canaan, saw his father’s nakedness and told his two brothers outside.  But Shem and Japheth took a garment and laid it across their shoulders; then they walked in backward and covered their father’s nakedness. Their faces were turned the other way so that they would not see their father’s nakedness.  When Noah awoke from his wine and found out what his youngest son had done to him”. (Genesis 9:21-24).

Genesis 9:25

He said, ‘Cursed be Canaan! The lowest of slaves will he be to his brothers.’”


Noah cursed the son of Ham, Canaan. So Canaan could not stay in that land. For he had been cursed, the result was banishment. There is the “cause” and the “result”.
Why did the people of Israel have to be forced out of their land when we are to receive the blessings of Abraham and Jesus? But before this, let us confirm once more that we are blessed.

Adam ate the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and the land got cursed. Grace and blessings were gone. God wanted to bless the earth and human beings, and for that He found Abraham and blessed him, in order that that blessing would save and bless all mankind, such was the plan of God.


Today when we receive of the Lord’s Supper, I want to make sure that everyone receives every bit of blessings from God. We are being blessed because we have the qualification to receive the
 Abraham’s blessing. There is the “cause” and the “result”.

Genesis17:7

I will establish my covenant as an everlasting covenant between me and you and your descendants after you for the generations to come, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you.”

Here, God made the eternal covenant with Abraham, and He also made that contract with the descendants of Abraham. This is Abraham’s blessing. This descendant was not the Jew but Jesus. I believe you all know that this covenant was a covenant with Jesus.

Galatians 3:16
The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. The Scripture does not say “and to seeds,” meaning many people, but, “and to your seed,” meaning one person, who is Christ.”

Therefore, God made a covenant with Abraham, and with Jesus, in Genesis 17:7.

What this means is that, Abraham’s blessing does not stop with one generation, that it is not just to save the Jews, but it was to save the entire mankind. It was for this reason that this covenant was made. Then you should know why we are talking about Abraham’s blessing now. When we believed in Jesus we were put inside of Jesus.
That is why we are within this blessing. There is the “cause” and the “result”.


Today we will be partaking in the Lord’s Supper, and the reason why we can receive this is because we are inside of Jesus.

Galatians 3:28, 29
 There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.  If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.”

In the Old Testament, the high priest enters the tabernacle beyond the curtain once a year. Even they would die should they see God. Jesus Christ died and went to hell, and resurrected and entered heaven. What is this signifying? Only Jesus broke through the curtain and entered the kingdom of God. Even the high priests could not enter. However, our believing in Jesus means that we are put within Jesus, and become His body’s heart, internal organs, fingers and mouth. We become a part of Jesus’ body. That means that as members of Jesus’ body, we have been made as those allowed to go inside of God.

This is the plan of God, that through Jesus, Jews, Greeks, Japanese, Koreans, and all the peoples of the world are to be saved by being put inside the body of Jesus. Jesus was hung on the cross, Jesus shed His blood, He went to hell, resurrected, then ascended to heaven. And these occurrences are made alive in the Lord’s Supper.
The meaning of partaking in the Lord’s Supper is that we are being put in the body of Christ who went to hell because of our sin, solved it, and ascended to heaven. We are being put inside of this Christ. Therefore, we have the qualification to enter heaven. What a blessing. All you need to do is accept, regardless of what kind of a person you are.

Now is the end time. In order to be used from now, it would be too late if we took 40 years for training as it did for Moses, in order to really know about God and become obedient. The Bible teaches us to become obedient. Unlike Joseph who endured hardship for 13 years, we must be readied more quickly. The Bible is saying to us to receive the blessing that God is talking about as is.

Now let us return.

Abraham received the blessing, but why was Abraham’s descendants told to be slaves?
Abraham believed and he was made righteous.

Genesis 15:5, 6

He took him outside and said, “Look up at the heavens and count the stars–if indeed you can count them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring be.”  Abram believed the LORD, and he credited it to him as righteousness.”


He believed about his children.

Next, this is what Abraham did not receive.


Genesis 7, 8

He also said to him, ‘I am the LORD, who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans to give you this land to take possession of it.’  But Abram said, ‘O Sovereign LORD, how can I know that I will gain possession of it?’”

God said He will give to him the land of Canaan. For the promise of offspring, he believed and he was made righteous. Regarding land, he did not receive. God gives, but if you do not receive, it does not become yours.

Joseph went through his training, but while he was depending on people and worrying, he was not receiving the becoming of governor. Now everyone, we are not to think like, how much hardship must I go through in order to succeed in everything and be free of financial trouble, free of sickness? Trials are there to train us. If Joseph had known that, he would have been governor right away, without going through hardship. When God said He is giving the land of Canaan, had Abraham said “Amen“, the period of slavery (Genesis 43~Exodus ) did not exist. This is due to not having received.

Furthermore, the people of Israel return to Canaan after being released from Egypt. (Exodus) It is a distance that could be reached in about 40 days, yet it took them 40 years. Why? It is due to not having received.


By the cross of Jesus, and by this Lord’s Supper, there are plenty of blessings to be had. But for those who are still saying that these blessings are not for them, and like Abraham saying, “O Sovereign LORD, how can I know that I will gain possession of it?”, then while speaking in this way, those blessings would not happen.


We would like to come to know this.

What did happen to Abraham? The covenant of Abraham was blessed. But after that it was dark.


Genesis 15:9-12.

So the LORD said to him, ‘Bring me a heifer, a goat and a ram, each three years old, along with a dove and a young pigeon.’  Abram brought all these to him, cut them in two and arranged the halves opposite each other; the birds, however, he did not cut in half.  Then birds of prey came down on the carcasses, but Abram drove them away.  As the sun was setting, Abram fell into a deep sleep, and a thick and dreadful darkness came over him.”

Abram had made a covenant with God. Then why did thick and dreadful darkness come over him?

That happened because he did not receive.

Verse 13

Then the LORD said to him, “Know for certain that your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own, and they will be enslaved and mistreated four hundred years.”

Verse 14

But I will punish the nation they serve as slaves, and afterward they will come out with great possessions.”

In the end, they were able to return to their land because they have come to fully believe: “That is mine! Canaan is mine!”

We have been released from all curses by the covenant of Abraham. Is there someone who is ill? That has been loosed. There is no need to be in financial trouble. Is there anyone who is self employed? If you will believe, Abraham’s blessing is yours.
“Sickness, finances, second death, I am released from all curses. That is mine!” Those who can confi
dently state this will receive it.
We are to accept what our God is saying. At that time, we will receive the blessing.
The Bible is teaching us to receive. Let us come to realize this.

Galatians 3:13, 14

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: ‘Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.’ He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.”


Jesus died hung on the cross. By believing in Jesus we are put inside of Jesus and we are receiving the blessing of Abraham. We are released from the curses of the law that is poverty, sickness, second death.

Let us proclaim:

Because I have been put inside of Jesus, I have nothing to do with poverty, sickness and second death. I have the blessing of Abraham. I am made to receive a life that is not of anxiety, but of peace, future and hope. (Jeremiah 29:11)

In the name of Jesus, Amen.

I am blessed. I am blessed in the highest. I am in best of health. I will prosper no matter what I do. My family will all be saved. It is written, ‘Believe in Jesus. For if you do, you and your family will be saved’, therefore, I accept. I have received all your promises.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.”

コロサイ2:6「彼にあって歩みなさい。」クリスチャンになって救われたのだけど、最近うまくいってないという方はイエス様の中で歩まないで自分で歩んでいるのでしょう。

Ⅱコリント5:7「私たちは見るところによってではなく、信仰によって歩んでいます。」 <For we walk by faith,not by sight>私たちは見えるところで歩まないで信仰で歩んでいきます。

せっかくイエス様が私たちを救ってくださったのです。

そして祝福された人生、呪いから解かれてる状況を体験するためには自分がキリストの中にいるというところをしっかり自覚していきましょう。

あなたがキリストの中に根ざしたクリスチャン生活をするなかで、決してあなたが頑張るものではないということはすでに分かっていると思います。

コロサイ2:7「また建てられ」ていく。私たちは、キリストの中で建てられているのです。多くのクリスチャンは、苦しみの中で、キリストの中でなくて自分で頑張る。

それをしているとやっぱり行き詰まります。わたしが完全なように完全になれとイエス様は言われますが、自分の力でそれは絶対にできません。

この建てられるというのは神によって、キリストの中で建てあげられていくのです。「また、教えられたとおり」今 色々なことを教わっています。

教えられた、教えられていく。聖書学校での学び、基礎教理、一からの学び、などを通して、皆さん、学んでいっているのです。

そして、そういった学びをすることよって「信仰を堅くし、」信仰が堅くなるのです。神様に信仰を強くしてください、と祈ったら信仰が強くなるのではないのです。   続く

信仰は 聞くことによるのです。
「そのように、信仰は聞くことから始まり、聞くことは、キリストについてのみことばによるのです。」(ローマ10:17)
<So then faith comes by hearing,and hearing by the word of God.>
神の言葉を聞いて来るのです。だから聞く。学ぶ時も聞きます。
その中で信仰は強くなっていくのだということです。
「*あふれるばかり感謝しなさい。」

私たちはキリストにおいて感謝するのです。
in Christ の生き方をしてる人は今の出来事に感謝すると同時に、未来のことにおいて in Christ で感謝できるいうことです。
だからキリストの中でという考えの中で進んでいきます。
その教えを知らない人は、キリストの恵みを受けることができないです。
キリストの中にあるということはどういうことなのでしょうか。

「キリストのうちにこそ、神の満ち満ちたご性質が形をとって宿っています。」(コロサイ2:9)

旧約の何千年の間、人は動物の血を携えながら礼拝してたのに 神を見たら死ぬと恐れていました。そんな人たちが天に行けるわけがないのです。
しかし、新約になって、私たちはイエス様を主と告白し、復活のキリストを信じると言うだけで天国に行けるのです。
それは、私たちが in Christ だからです。
「私が完全なように完全になれ」と言っているのはそうでないと天国に行けないからイエス様、神様がそのように言っているのです。
9節「キリストのうちにこそ、神の満ち満ちたご性質」があるのです。
つまり、私たちが天国に行くためには神の性質にならない限り行けないのです。
旧約の人が頑張ってもできなかったように、私にもできません。
私たちが天国に行けるのは in Christ だからです。
キリストの中にいる、神の性質の中にいるから、私たちは完全となり天国に行けるということです。

出来物が突然、数個できたのですが、聖会で消えて癒されましたというと証です。

私の名前はベスです。フィリピン出身です。

私はこの教会(ERM京都聖会)に時々参加しています。

私は先週日曜日、私が以前通っていた教会の礼拝に参加しました。
ある女性の方の隣に座ったのですが、(周りの人が言うに)その方は悪霊に取り憑かれているようでした。
私はただその方の腰に触っただけだったのですが、その後家に帰ると、(私の頭に)3つのできものと、(首回りに)3つの腫れ物が出来ていました。
それはとても痛くて、月曜から、火曜、水曜、木曜、とずっと痛みがありました。

ですが、今日友人からこの聖会のことを聞いて、参加しに来たのです。

私がこの部屋に入った途端、できものや腫れ物の全部が消えてしまいました!!!!
主を褒め称えます。

だから私はこうやって首回りを触っているのです!!!
本当に、主よ感謝します。誉めたたえます!

会場に入室して瞬間に癒された証】

私の名前はベスです。フィリピン出身です。
私はこの教会(ERM京都聖会)に時々参加しています。

私は先週日曜日、私が以前通っていた教会の礼拝に参加しました。
ある女性の方の隣に座ったのですが、(周りの人が言うに)その方は悪霊に取り憑かれているようでした。
私はただその方の腰に触っただけだったのですが、その後家に帰ると、(私の頭に)3つのできものと、(首回りに)3つの腫れ物が出来ていました。
それはとても痛くて、月曜から、火曜、水曜、木曜、とずっと痛みがありました。

ですが、今日友人からこの聖会のことを聞いて、参加しに来たのです。

私がこの部屋に入った途端、できものや腫れ物の全部が消えてしまいました!!!!
主を褒め称えます。

だから私はこうやって首回りを触っているのです!!!
本当に、主よ感謝します。誉めたたえます!

出来物が突然、数個できたのですが、聖会で消えて癒されましたというと証です。

Message: Deliverance From Insecurity

The other day Mt. Ontake erupted and many died.  And in Hiroshima, many calamities like landslides and water disasters are occurring.  In such situations, I believe there are feelings of insecurity and fear.  And there are those who are not only concerned about natural disasters, but they are carrying insecure thoughts of future, or having anxious feelings concerning life expectancy, illnesses, finances, payments, ability to make a living, about business or family worries.  The other day I received a phone call.  This person is an earnest Christian, but because he is insecure in this way, he was suffering from the thought that maybe it is because he has sinned.  And, there are others who feel insecure for they are not sure if their family would be saved or whether they can go to heaven, or whether their prayers are being heard or not.  There are also those who are full of insecure feelings because many end time phenomena are taking place, and so, they are wondering if they will be saved or not.  In this message I would like to look into why people have insecure feelings.
Today, I would like for you to be delivered from all insecure feelings.  And not only be delivered, but for those who are attacked by anxiety, if you are able to understand its reason, then the insecure feelings would be gone and peace will come upon you.  Therefore, I would like to talk about this and get it across to you.
First of all, it is written that for those who do not believe in God, peace does not exist.
Isaiah 59:8-9

8 The way of peace they do not know; there is no justice in their paths. They have turned them into crooked roads; no one who walks in them will know peace. 9 So justice is far from us, and righteousness does not reach us. We look for light, but all is darkness; for brightness, but we walk in deep shadows.

 

The non-believers, especially, walk though this kind of a path.  As Christians, we have the “righteousness,” and we are able to receive the light, therefore, being Christians, our walks are ordered to walk in peace.  Yet, if there are many kinds of worries, then we must look into what might be its reason.  What is clear is that, these people do not know that their problems are solved, or they have not received it.  If we are to know this and receive it, then there would be no more worries.  To put it simply, if you are in need of \300,000, but you learned that you will be remitted \1,000,000, then, there is no need for worry.  I believe, therefore, in discovering what it is that we are being given, we shall become free.

 

In the Bible, there are commands from Jesus.  What is it that the Bible is trying to give to us?  Some may be in need of money because they have financial problems.  Others may seek healing because they are sick.  But if we are to ask, what is the most important necessity?  It is not the solution to various problems, but to express it in one word, it is “peace”.  If one is in a financial need of \300,000, but learns that \1,000,000 is being remitted, then insecurity is gone.  We tend to think that if individual problems are solved, then we will be satisfied, but rather, if we are at peace, then those issues are not problems.

 

How did Jesus instruct the disciples when they went out to preach?  Did He say to them, should they see someone in need of money, give him money?  If there is someone who is ill, of course, Jesus will heal.  But what is it that God is trying to give to us?  If there is someone here who is holding on to insecurity, I would really like for you to know God’s purpose and plan, receive it, and be at peace.
Mathew 10:12, 13

“12 As you enter the home, give it your greeting. 13 If the home is deserving, let your peace rest on it; if it is not, let your peace return to you.”
When Jesus’ disciples went to the towns to preach, what did they say?  The command of Jesus was that they “pray for peace”.  We are gathered here today.  What are we to gain from here to continue on with our Christian living?  We are here to receive the way to walk life in peace.

 

When I went to the Tokyo seminar, there was a sister who was insecure about many things.  But this person had gradually come to understand the things that God had done, and she received them.  And the other day she was saying, “Pastor, it is not that I don’t have any problems, but I am at peace.”  For we believe in Jesus, therefore, we have peace.  What did Jesus do for us?  Let us begin to know this.  When we read the Epistles in the Bible, there are some common elements.  This prayer is not like for those in financial need, let money come; or, for those who are sick, let healing come.  The direction Jesus gave was to pray for peace, wasn’t it?  What were written in the Epistles of the disciples?

In Romans 1:7, Paul wrote like this.  Let us look at it.

Romans 1:7

To all in Rome who are loved by God and called to be saints: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.”
It is written, “May the grace and peace be upon you”.  What we Christians must have above of all, is “peace”.  For us to live peaceful lives is God’s plan for us.  Often, in Paul’s Epistles, we find these words.
1 Corinthians 1:3

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

2 Corinthians 1:2

”Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”
Galatians 1:3

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ”.
Ephesians 1:2

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

 

Somewhat different is:

Ephesians 2:3

“Peace to the brothers, and love with faith from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ”

But what is common is that they all have “peace”.  Differing, here, it is worded, “love with faith”.

 

Colossians 1:2

“To the holy and faithful brothers in Christ at Colosse: Grace and peace to you from God our Father.

 

1 Thessalonians 1:1

“Paul, Silas and Timothy, to the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace and peace to you.”

 

2 Timothy 1:2

To Timothy, my dear son: Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Here, it says, “grace, mercy and peace.”  If we do not have peace as Christians, then something is not right.  This is God’s plan.  Peter says so, too.

1 Peter 1:2

Who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by his blood: Grace and peace be yours in abundance.”

 

Before sending out His disciples, Jesus said, “Pray for peace.”  The disciples were faithfully following this command even after the death of Jesus, weren’t they?  What needs to be done by you who became a Christian is to pray for “peace” for the non-believers.  You yourself must live a peaceful life.  This is what God wants for us to receive.  Jude, the disciple of Jesus wrote this Epistle.
Jude 1:2

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance.”

What is the Bible saying?  It is calling for us to be at peace.  Every week we declare this, don’t we?  What was the plan of God?

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
God wants you to live a life that is peaceful.  As this world is controlled by Satan, Satan will bring all kinds of problems.  There are financial problems, various troubles, sickness, etc.  Though they may be Christians, if they do not know the plans of God, they will become insecure.  They ask, “Why must these things happen?  How long is this going to last?  Is it ever going to be solved?”  But for those who know the plans of God, they are thinking, “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you”, therefore, their conditions surely change to not harm them.  Those who have received will change to begin thinking in this way.  Because people sin, there are so many people who are taken by guilt.  The prodigal son was feeling insecure as he was heading home, thinking, “What would father say”.  As I earlier mentioned, this is because he does not know the heart of God.  He had an insecure feeling that he might be reprimanded by the father.
The reason why many Christians are insecure is because they do not know the heart of God.  If we read the Bible that says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”, then those that believed it can carry on in believing, “my life is planned to prosper and not to harm me, to give me hope and future, therefore, all these problems are going to be solved”.

This is important that we “receive”.  God gave us the “Word” through people (prophets) didn’t He?  That seed of the Word, what does the Bible say about what seed it is of?

 

Zachariah 8:12

“The seed will grow well, the vine will yield its fruit, the ground will produce its crops, and the heavens will drop their dew. I will give all these things as an inheritance to the remnant of this people.”
It is our inheritance, isn’t it?  What we have received is the “seed of peace”.  We became Christians and we received the plans of peace, and the seed of peace.  The deeper your faith becomes, the less your worries will be.  You will be a person at peace.  I have talked of the growth process of Christians.  First, we must come to know that we are forgiven.  The last time we have talked about the woman who was caught in adultery (John 8:1-2).  Jesus did not condemn this person.  He forgave her.  This woman must have been nervous to think what might happen to her.  However, I believe she must have come to know the heart of God and walked in light.

 

Now, we must know what the plans of God are.  This is a review from the last time, but even Paul is saying he commits sin.  “As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me” (Romans 7:17).   “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1).  Of course, we shall confess our sins, but those who know the heart of God, do not get disheartened.  The more we know the heart of God, the freer we become.  This is because God’s plan for us is to be at “peace”.  The more you know the Bible, the more you will be at peace.  What kind of “peace” will we be given?  If there are those who have not experienced this yet, please believe the Bible all the more.  For if you do so, you will taste the peace you have never felt before, and obtain it in your Christian living, and in your life.  Those people in financial need, should they win the lottery they will be at peace.  But as the money gets used up, insecurity grows gradually.  That peace is of this world.  The peace we receive is not the peace of the world.  What kind of peace is it?

John 14:27

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
The longer you live your Christian life, the more you will come to be a person whose heart is not disturbed.  And then you will become a person who does not fear.  Those who are insecure are still at the growing stage.  When we read the Bible, we will know the heart of God.  And then we will know, “all will be fine”.  And this peace is not what the world gives.  This is a great “peace” that you had not experienced prior to becoming a Christian.  I am at peace every day.  I do not get disturbed when problems arise.  It is because God has a plan for me that is peace.  Because problems are destined to be solved, I am at peace.

There are those who become insecure when answers to their prayers are prolonged.  As we grow in our Christian life and come to know the heart of God, we will ①come to know that we have been forgiven, and as I mentioned the last time, in the next step, ②become conscious that we are blessed, for this is God’s plan, too,  and next, we ③will know that we are loved by God.  Please grow in knowing that you are loved by God.  If you know that you are loved by God, why must you worry about various things?  God will take care.  When happenings cause a thought of, “Oh, no, what shall I do?”  You will instead be able to say, “Because I am loved by God, all will be well.”  And when you grow further, you ④will become a person who loves God. You will grow toward saying, “Because I love Him, l want to do what God wants to do”.  You may not get to this stage right away.  Therefore, at first you must become aware of the fact that you are forgiven, and that God’s plan for you is to give you peace.

 

Let us say out loud:
“I am destined to live a life not of harm but of prosperity, future and hope.  Amen”

 

A certain sister’s daughter said she is going abroad on her own.  This sister was full of worry.  But she proclaimed, “God’s plans is to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Amen.” And she received this and believed, “God will protect her daughter”, so she stopped worrying.  She was able to stop worrying because she found out the heart of God.

 

Why do we read the Bible?  Is it because you have to read it?  Not so.
It is because we want to know the heart of God.  We want to know what God had done for us.  In this way we are being prepared.  Let us look at another way of saying this. God is trying to give us peace.  Please enter into this realm.  You will stop worrying in life.  God is promising.  Those that are insecure know this, and have heard it, but they have not received it.  They start to think intellectually.  We must receive.  When we receive we are no longer insecure.
Philippians 4:7

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
This peace is the “peace of God”.  It transcends all understanding.  The circumstance may be such that no human can think of it as peaceful, but in a condition that one cannot be at peace, peace is found.  This is the kind of peace Christians have.  Though without money, unemployed and sick, yet you are able to savor the peace.  Why do we suffer in sickness?  It is because we do not know whether we will be healed or not.
But if we find out what Jesus had done for us, then that worry will be gone.  In verse 7, it is written, “your hearts and minds”.  Hearts and minds, in other words, your spirit and soul become peaceful, and this is the peace that God gives.  There are those who are insecure in their minds, and those who are insecure in their hearts.  And there are those who are insecure in both.  But the peace of God protects both the heart and the mind.  If your heart and mind are being protected, you do not have to worry.  Everyone, please enter into this realm.  I always talk with my wife, saying, “We are very blessed.  Even though we do not have money, we are at peace.”  Verse 7 has the Word, “And.”  Since verse 7 begins with “And”, we must take a look at what is said in verse 6.  What is it that we must do to have peace.  Let us look at verses 4 to 6.

 

Philippians 4:4-6

“4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

 

Why do we become anxious?  It is because we are not sure whether God knows of our concerns, or whether He will be seeing to our troubles or not.  The Word says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving”.  When you come across a problem, you must pray to God.  Many say, “I am praying.  I am praying to God that my illness gets healed, that money comes to me.  But it doesn’t work.”  How are we are to pray?  It is by, “prayer and petition, with thanksgiving”.
Do you know what that is about?

I always say this.  What brings about gratitude?   If someone you do not know comes toward you from afar, saying to you, “Thank you, thank you”, you would feel awkward as he approaches.  Why is that?  It is because you are being thanked for not having done anything.  This does not happen.  The “prayer with thanksgiving”, is a prayer in which you know what has been done for you.   Many are praying, but they are not praying the prayer with thanksgiving.  I had payments to make the other day, but I am praying with the prayer of thanksgiving.  God says for us not to be anxious.  And then all will be solved.  Therefore, I pray, “Thank you, God.  Thank you, Jesus.  I thank you because I can make all my payments.  I will not be troubled by money matters.”

 

There was a time when I was going to Okinawa, a typhoon happened to come.   But I do not get anxious.  My plane will definitely take off.  Of course, if it does not fly due to God’s will, it is because God has another purpose.   But if it was God’s will that I go to Okinawa, it shall be so.  Therefore, this typhoon headed toward west of Okinawa, then detoured east heading to Kyushu, and went upward.  I stayed for a week as scheduled and returned.  I do not get concerned, I do not become anxious.  I do not become anxious about my children’s future nor about family member’s illness.  God will give you peace.  Indeed, through,

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

 

“Lord, I give thanks.  I am blessed.  God has for me ‘plans to prosper me and not to harm me, plans to give me hope and a future.’  Therefore, all my problems are destined to be solved.”  Do pray in this way.  Then at that time the answers will arrive.

 

Now, there is the connecting word “And”.  The reason why we become peaceful is that we believe God will give us the best for what we had prayed about.  Those who are praying without believing, thinking, “Well, the Bible says so, but will God do it?”  These people are not receiving it.  Therefore, they can’t give thanks.  You may not understand this, but why don’t you at least try it, pretending that you have been fooled.

Pray, “I give thanks that this problem is solved.” If you do so, since you are receiving it, it will begin to happen.  I always say, here is bottled water.  I give thanks and I take it, therefore, I can have it.   It is here, but if I don’t reach out to take it, then since I haven’t received it, I don’t even give thanks.  This blessing of, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”, is already in existence in the unseen realm.  The solution is there, but for those who haven’t received it, they cannot be giving thanks for it.  All your problems are solved.  If all Christians become Christians who give thanks and receive, then all will be saying, “I am really happy. I am blessed.”

 

Ephesians 1:3

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.”

 

“Every spiritual blessing.”  Solutions to problems are already there in the heavenly realms!  Perhaps most people think God works upon hearing our prayers.   Not so, for the answers are already there.  By knowing the Bible, you will perceive, “Even this was here, and even this was here.”  And in receiving and having them, you will no longer be insecure.  Those Christians who are saying, “This promise of the Bible, and that promise of the Bible, are those mine, too?  Oh, thank you.”  These people do not worry.
In the heavenly realms exist the blessings and solutions to problems, but people do not go to claim them, therefore, they end up saying, “I am worried, what should I do?”  We shall read the Bible and know the heart of God, and in knowing what it is that God had done for us, we become blessed.

 

Philippians 4:9

“Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me–put it into practice.  And the God of peace will be with you.”
It is about peace and tranquility, isn’t it?  If God is with us, there is no insecurity.  In the Word is written, “And”.  What must you do so that God will be with you?  There are four things.  If you are to do these four things, then “the God of peace will be with you”, therefore, problems will be solved and there will be peace.  It is written, ”Whatever you have learned”.  Now you are learning the Bible.  You learn that the plans that God has for you is not to harm you.  You must “receive” it.  ”Heard”, we must continue to hear.  We must continue to hear the words, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”  And we must also continue to declare it. “Or seen in me–put it into practice.”  You must put into practice the way of living that is blessed.  We shall see and put into practice how Jesus lived, and what Paul taught in the Bible on how to live.  If we do so, God is with us.

 

What did the Philippians actually learn from Paul?  It is written in verse 8.  There are 8 things.  We are chased by many tasks of the world, but we should not look at those matters.  Those who look at the words of the Bible and place their hearts on Word, will truly come to reflect what is written.  Then what are we to be looking at?

Philippians 4:8

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things.”
“Whatever is true.”  The Word is the truth.

“Whatever is noble.” The meaning of noble, here, is not about rejoicing over the Nobel Prize.  It is not about being honored in front of people.  It is about not letting your left hand know what your right hand is doing (Mathew 6:3).  When we hear of these instances, we are inspired, and we hope to do like that.  We are to look at such things.

“Whatever is right”.
“Whatever is pure”.
“Whatever is lovely”.
“Whatever is admirable”.
“If anything is excellent”.
“If anything is praiseworthy”.

If a person is dwelling on what he can do to please God, then that person is always looking to God, therefore, God will resolve everything.  Paul did not always have the things he needed.  Here, Paul was in need.

Philippians 4:11, 12

I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.  I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.”
There are many circumstances that we can see with our eyes.  We are being taught on how to handle the circumstances.  What we see is irrelevant.  We are to believe in that which we cannot see, but that it exists in the heavenly realms which will resolve everything.  And, although there may be various problems and I can’t solve them on my own, (verse 13) “I can do everything through him who gives me strength”.  It is because the “the God of peace” is with me.  In this way we are being changed.

 

Colossians 3:15

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.”
In being saved, what kind of a person have we become?  We were saved to go to heaven.  Of course, this is true.  But the command of Jesus was, “When you go into villages, pray for peace”.
In other words, what were we called for?  We were saved “that the peace of Christ rule our hearts”.

When Adam and Eve ate the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they were insecure.  Why?  Christ’s peace was not there.  We shall regain what Adam had lost.  Peace of Christ, tranquility of Christ, we are called to obtain this.  Then in order for us to obtain this peace and tranquility of Christ, what is it that we must do?  “Being called and became as one”.  A person who is with Jesus is at peace, because he is with Christ, and because the God of peace is with him.  The reason why I am at peace at all times is because I am always with God.  If you, too, are always with the Word of God, you are with God.  Therefore, though problems may come your way, you can proclaim, “All is well.  Problems would be resolved.  All is well.  All is well even if it should take time.”  You all know, don’t you?  That plans of God is not to harm you but to prosper you, to give you hope and a future.

 

You come to church, listen to CDs, and join the Bible school.  What for?  I hope it is so that you may be changed daily to become people at peace.  To be a person at peace no matter what happens.  To become a person who is not anxious about the future.  To become a person who does not get anxious over business affairs.  To be changed into a person who does not become anxious about family affairs.

 

When we sin, we become conscious of what is not right.  We become insecure because we do not know the Word of God.  There are many ways that we can remain in peace, but let us look at a few.

2 Corinthians 5:21

God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
We sin, but Jesus had taken our place to become our sin.  It has been dealt with.  Payment has even been made for those sins that we may commit in the future.  The prodigal son returned to the kingdom of God in his sinful state.  When we come to know this, we pray the prayer of thanksgiving.  When I sin, I say a prayer of thanksgiving. “God, I have sinned.  Please forgive me.  Thank you.  Jesus had paid for my sin.  I give thanks.”  I give thanks because I know that “I will by no means be condemned to sin.”  Satan will say, “What have you done?  That is sin.”  But those who know become freer.  How can one be at peace?  It is by knowing; in knowing the heart of God.  Because one does not know, one becomes insecure and fearful.  When we seek to know, we have nothing to fear.  Those who are in peace are seeking with all their might to receive.  For those who do not do this, there is no peace.

Isaiah 54:13

All your sons will be taught by the LORD, and great will be your children’s peace.”

Those who are in great peace are those who received the teachings of the Lord, those who have come to know the heart of God.  Since earlier I have been talking.  Why are you insecure?  Why are you fearful?  It is because you do not know.  Or, you may know, but you are not receiving.  It is simple.  If we would only receive, there is great peace in us.  The more you know the Word of God, the freer you will become.
The Bible says, “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” (John 8:32).  I am truly free.  I am happy.

 

Let us return.

Colossians 3:15-17

“15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. 17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
What must you do to, verse 15, “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts”?  You must, verse 16, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly”.  “In you” means, in your heart.  There are many people who are hearing the Word of the Bible.  They are putting them in their minds.  It should not be so.  We must put them in our hearts. That would mean that you fully believe.  And you can think like this.  “I will not be harmed.  I am at peace.  I am made as a person of hope and a future.  But I have this problem.  That is not right.  Surely it will be resolved for this is not God’s plan.”  The people of Israel, on their way toward the land of Canaan, face various fortresses and enemies.  For those people who know that God’s plan is to lead them to the land of Canaan, there is peace despite the problems.  Caleb and Joshua do not waver because they know the heart of God.  Those who do not know become insecure.  Therefore, I encourage you to hear the Word of God in abundance.  Hear as you are driving.  Hear until just before you go to sleep.  When you do so, your heart and mind will be protected, and you will be receiving the peace of God and his blessings.  You will be filled with gratitude to sing praises.

Let us continue.

We have looked at this the last time, but let us open it again.
We would like to have abundant peace, don’t we?  What must we do for that?
Psalm 119:165

Great peace have they who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble.”
There is great peace for those who live by loving the law and accumulating the Word.   Some may become insecure at times like this.  This teacher becomes insecure in seeing himself sin.   I sin, too.  This person is looking at the wrong things.  What is it that we are to be looking at?  We cannot be people who do not sin.  No one can keep the Ten Commandments of Moses.  That is why Jesus was hung on the cross.
Now, we must look at our new selves.  In our daily lives, we may think, I have done this and that.

What is there in Ephesians 1:3 that talks about “every spiritual blessings”?

 

The new you, is here (in the unseen realm).  You may say, “No, I am here in the visible world, I who sin is in here.”  However, that is not so.  You are here (in the unseen realm).  People do not know that.  They may know it, but they are not receiving it.  We are here in the visible realm.  However, the Word is saying that the self that sin is dead.  There exists a hidden self.  We try hard to become pure, to be a person who does not sin, and tend to strive.  That is the old self striving.  Our old self has died.  Galatians 2:20 says, “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.”  And yet, aren’t we trying to do something by ourselves about the wrongs that are on us?   It should not be so.  We should believe in our new selves that we ourselves do not know.

 

Colossians 3:3-4

“3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.”

 

Those of you who are living in Christ, you are in this hidden life.  The person you always see in the mirror who sin, is not this person who is hidden.  Therefore, the self that is in the visible world is being seen, but we must believe in the new self that is in the realm of the hidden world, believing in the self who is to appear later.  We shall believe in that.  When do we have peace?  When I look at myself in my daily life, I become discouraged, too.  But I do not get discouraged because I only see and believe in my new self.
In other words, when we walk in faith, we are at peace.  Is there anyone who is anxious because you have many problems?  What does the Word say?

1 Corinthians 10:13

“13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.”
It says that there is a way out that God is providing.  Those who definitely believe in this will not worry and walk on without anxiety.   Let us look at one more today.  Why are so many worried?  Why do they become insecure?  It is because they can’t examine certain thoughts, and because those thoughts haven’t been removed.  For us to be at peace, we must select certain thoughts.  What could that be?

Every day we have many thoughts.  People’s thoughts are of three categories.  They are one’s own thoughts, God’s thoughts, and Satan’s thoughts.  You may not be able to select your own thoughts unless you have proper knowledge.  It would be good if we can select the thoughts of God.  But we are troubled because we can’t decipher between God’s thoughts and Satan’s thoughts.  If it is God’s thoughts, then those are absolutely peaceful.  Let us look into this.

Romans 8:6

The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace.”

 

Thoughts from the Holy Spirit are life and peace.  When we are anxious, thoughts are coming from the flesh, which is death.  “I may fail.  Problem may arise.  My illness may prolong.”  These are thoughts of Satan.   The thoughts of the Bible is, By his wounds you have been healed” (1 Peter 2:24).  “And my God will meet all your needs” (Philippians 4:19).  “You can do anything.”  “I can do everything through him who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:13).

 

For us to be at peace, we need the Word.  The Word is the word of the Spirit.  Therefore, those who are precisely receiving those thoughts do not despair.  If we sin, we shall say, “Jesus, I am sorry”, and that would be the end of it.   When we continue in believing that we have been transformed, we can move on without being insecure.

 

Psalm 37:5

Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this:”
Most people, when problems arise, they strive to somehow solve them on their own.   My character is such that I do not strive much.  There are many excellent people, but for me, I know that there is only so much that I can do even if I strive hard.  I am yielding and entrusting.   Peter was also entrusting, therefore, he was at peace and slept well even though he was going to be executed the next day.  Though I have many tasks, I am entrusting everything, and I only do that which God directs me to do.  Everyone, it is alright to entrust this and that, your financial problems, your future marriage.  In this way you entrust unto God.  As you do so you will come to believe that God will surely take care of these.  I say this often so it may be redundant to you, but we are told that in order for us to be at peace, God did something.  What was it?

Isaiah 57:19

Creating praise on the lips of the mourners in Israel.  Peace, peace, to those far and near,” says the LORD.  “And I will heal them.”
There are many who hear, but unless they practice it, they would not understand.  Those who end at, “Oh, I think it is written in the Bible”, cannot have the experience.  Only those who reached out in thinking that it exists in the unseen realm, and claims that to himself, will experience it.  Please try it.  We have repeatedly said this.  God has a plan to give us peace, doesn’t He?  For that we must receive it.  Unless you claim that to be yours, it will not be yours.  Therefore, if you would say the words of the blessing of life, “I am blessed”, you will receive the blessings.

 

Pastor Takaesu of Okinawa was working as a taxi driver making \2,000 a day, and he was very tired.  He had five children, and was not in capable condition to pastor a church.  His prayer was, “Let me come to heaven quickly.”  But then when I went there, I would proclaim, “I am blessed”.  He hadn’t heard anything like that before so he wondered if I was in the right mind.  However, when he looked in the Bible, it definitely said so.  So he practiced it.  He proclaimed, “I am blessed”.  What do you think happened then?  He was living in a small apartment, so his wife proclaimed, “I am blessed”, and she went out to rent a house that was on sale.  Children were each given their own room, the church moved and now it has parking spaces for 30 cars and a gathering space for 100 people.  The Pastor came to know the fruit of his lips, so the other pastors would say to him,” Pastor Takaesu, you are blessed!” So he responds in saying, “Yes, I am.”  Therefore, he came to be at peace.

 

Let us proclaim:
“I am a blessed person. Amen.”

In Proverbs 18:20, it is written, “From the fruit of his mouth a man’s stomach is filled; with the harvest from his lips he is satisfied.”   Therefore, we must proclaim out loud.  For when you do so, great things will begin to happen.  God’s plan for us is peace.  Should you feel insecure about something, please check on what you are declaring.  Try praying in tongues until peace settles.

 

Mathew 11:28-30

“28 Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

 

When we go to Jesus, we must unload our burdens.  When we become Christians, you may think that you have to bear your cross (Mathew 10:38) which is heavy, but that is not the case. “For my yoke is easy”, it is written.  And when we look at its footnote in the New International Version, there it is written “comfortable”.
Everyone, if Christian life is not comfortable, something is not right.  If there is no peace in the Christian life, something is not right.  For God’s plan is not like that.  Our life is that of peace, hope and a future.
For the soul to find peace, it is written, “Learn from me.”  Jesus died, didn’t He?  We must die to ourselves, too.  And let Christ live for us.  As we do so, wonderful things will occur.  Lastly, let us look into the great

Peace, which is perfect peace.  God is trying to give to us perfect peace through Jesus.  If we have perfect peace, we become as people who need not worry about anything.  How can we be that way?

 

Isaiah 26:3

You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.”

If we trust, then our mind will be steadfast.  In other words, “God’s Word will surely pass”.

Those who thoroughly believe in, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”, they have perfect peace.

Even though the answer to prayer may be delayed, they will think, “God is trying to create an even better solution.” These people believe, that for them, God will answer with the best.  What kind of mind is “steadfast mind”?
Luke 1:45

“Blessed is she who has believed that what the Lord has said to her will be accomplished!”

We shall want to grow to be able to truly believe in what we are hearing.
